In an interview with RTÉ’s Morning Ireland programme, Irish-born singer-songwriter Sonatine confirmed that her band RTE are working on a new album with the likes of Bon Jovi, Coldplay and Pink Floyd.
Sonatine, who grew up in Dublin, said: “It’s an absolute dream come true for me.
I’ve never done anything like it before.”
She added: “We’ve been thinking about making something for a while now and I’ve been working on it for the last couple of years.”
Sonatina’s new album, ‘My Songs, My Life’, will be released in January next year.
Speaking to RTÉ about the upcoming album, she said: “[It’s] a song about the Irish people, that was written about the way that we treat each other.”
The idea of making a song like this is a dream come True for me and I’m very grateful to be part of it.
“The band’s debut album, Songs of Innocence, was released in April 2014 and won the Irish Independent Album of the Year award.
In 2017, the band also won the award for Best Pop Group.
