The Music Academy of Columbus and other Ohio music schools announced their graduates will perform at the Blue-Eyed Susan and The Pecos in a benefit concert Saturday night.
The concert will take place at the Ohio Theatre at the University of Dayton, with performances from Ohio’s own Bluegrass Band, the Blue Grass Band of the North, the Ohio Barbershop Band, and the Blue Green Band.
In addition to the Blue Guard, the concert will also feature performances from the Blue Mountain Blues Band, The Bluegrass Boys, and others.
The event will be hosted by the Bluefields, an Ohio music academy founded in 1996.
The Bluegrass Academy also is the state’s only non-profit music academy that does not award diplomas.
It was founded by the late, great George Green, who died in 2018.
